Research Help: Kanopy Tutorial

To set up or access your Kanopy account, use your Harcum email address. For assistance with using Kanopy, email library@harcum.edu or call 610-526-6085.

1. Open Kanopy
2. If you are on campus, you can access and view Kanopy films directly. If you are off-campus, enter the username and password for Kanopy. This is found by visiting the Library Database Passwords list in Harcum Hatch. 

Once you are logged in, you can create your own Kanopy account and with your own password. This is helpful if you want to save your favorite films or your progress if you need to step away from a film. Follow the steps below to create your own account.  

To create an account:

• Open Kanopy in your web browser. You may be prompted to log in with your Kanopy username and password.
• Click on the account menu in the top-right corner and select “Create an account.”
Enter your name, Harcum email address, and a password, then click “Sign up.”
• You will be directed to Kanopy’s homepage, where you can now access all available features.

• Visit kanopy.com/user/password.
• Enter your Harcum email address and click “Reset Password.” A reset password email will be sent to this address.
• Open the email and click the “Reset Password” link to access the reset page.
• Enter your new password (minimum of 6 characters) in the provided field and click “Reset Password” to complete the process.
